About Naomi

My name is Naomi Richards and I believe I am the only Life Coach in the UK that works with children as young as six years old. Having worked informally with children for many years, helping them work through their emotional and behavioural problems, coaching children is the perfect vocation for me. I constantly coach my own children and they are very receptive to it!

I have been a Life Coach for Children since 2004 and am very passionate about my work. I help children improve their lives by showing them innovative, creative and practical tools that they can use to change their behaviour, thoughts and feelings for the better. If committed to the process, children will use some of these tools and consequently feel a positive change in their lives.

I trained at The Centre for Coaching and Stress Management in Blackheath and I am a Member of the Association for Coaching. I practice under their Code of Ethics and Practice.

I write for several websites including www.wikivorce.com am a contributor to The London Jewish News and I am an ‘Agony Aunt’ for www.onlydads.org. I work in primary schools and work through a number of charities that help children from all walks of life. I run summer workshops and more recently have been involved in helping give children a voice in divorce through the ‘Kids In the Middle’ Government Scheme.

I regularly attend courses on parenting, I have mental health awareness knowledge and a qualification in nutrition. I also have a wealth of experience working with children who have learning difficulties and ADHD.

What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach enables you to develop the skills, attitudes and coping mechanisms required to help you get the best from any area of your life. They can help you identify and overcome situations which make you unhappy. Life coaching can also help children with their behaviour, negative thoughts and beliefs and outlook on life.

A Life Coach works with you to:

  • Either change the situation or;
  • Make life more manageable for yourself within the situation.

There is no stigma attached to having a life coach for your children. It is a progressive and positive process that addresses the here and now, not the past.
