I am not sure if you have seen what has been going on in the world of football but there has been a lot of talk at FA and grassroots level about supporting children through the sport. Quite timely given I decided to get involved in football a few months ago.

Having worked in the past with some great talented and gifted young footballers – I decided I wanted to get involved more in the football arena by using my knowledge about kids. I have no idea what the off-side rule is and to be honest I don’t have a massive interest in the sport but what I am passionate about is that parents, coaches and children all get the support and respect they need and want in grassroots football.

So what am I upto now? Well I have teamed up with www.clubwebsite.co.uk and am writing for them on the emotional and behaviourial side of coaching children in football. I have written two articles – the more recent one on the impact of parents shouting from the sidelines.  The two written to date are on their website and in their monthly newsletter.

So now I have no option but to learn a few rules of the game and know what a defender does………..

If you would like to read my articles for them then visit their website and browse the articles http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/community/newsletter/

  1. Good for you Naomi! I too have no clue about football. I love how you’ve tuned into what you are passionate about, to be able to give what you can to support children, parents and coaches in the way that you do. Nice one :)

Thank you Grace – there is nothing wrong with having a niche within a niche.
