Every so often I get an opportunity to do something different. There was the swimsuit photoshoot that I did for Figleaves to show young girls that women come in all shapes and sizes (yes I actually posed in a swimsuit), there was the chance to present an award at an Awards ceremony (and make a speech) at a blogging event and more recently there was an opportunity to be part of an amazing website http://ideamensch.com/.
I was recommended to be part of it and the reason I said yes is because I love the quirkiness and profile of the site. It showcases so many great authors and entrepreneurs who have all had an idea and brought it to life. It asks them some real thought provoking questions that are not the standards ones you are normally asked when interviewed which makes it interesting reading. Take a look around it and see what you think. There are some great interviews and check out mine too http://ideamensch.com/naomi-richards/ – it shares with you a little bit more about me, my dreams and my passions.
It’s good to do something different. It gets you noticed and pushes you outside your comfort zone and it allows others to see you in a different light.
What have you done recently that pushed you out of your comfort zone as a parent and business minded individual?

I can’t say looking after 4 babies pushed me out of my comfort zone, but my goodness . . did it test me?
I think the main prize should go to the mother, who gave birth to Triplets when her 1st daughter was only 8 months old.
However, it did not get her noticed, as she rarely got out!
She manages them beautifully and it has been the making of her, as she has had no help apart from dad when he gets home from work.
She deserves a medal.
I think you both do. Parenting multiple children is very hard – a balancing act and requires heaps of patience. Well done and thank you for your comment.
I just spent the past twelve years doing something different – home educating my kids! Just thought I’d pop by and tell people I’m around if anyone wants support in approaching their children’s education slightly differently! It’s brilliant! http://rossmountney.wordpress.com
I’m returning to a ‘normal’ zone for a while now; not sure I’ll get used to it!
Wow that is amazing. I guess that took some getting use to and again there is another life change for you too now. Let me know how you get on. Thank you Ross for adding your comment and good luck.
While updating my first book, Kids and Money: Giving Them the Savvy to Succeed Financially, I included a new chapter about helping families go green. It got so long (so much great info!) that I made it into a separate ebook, which just came out this month! I have saved so much money this past year — by taking just a few steps that were quite easy to do, my electricity/heating bill has come down $60 a month, alone!
Jayne well done on the book and the e-book. Two for one!
